Vakavoui na i tovo: Muduki na i valavala kaukauwa vei ira na yalewa” (Transforming harmful gender norms to stop violence against women and girls) workshop held at the Draunivau Community Hall. The participants were from across 9 villages in the Tikina o Naroko, Ra namely; Vatukacevaceva, Narara, Raiwasa, Draunivutiya, Nokonoko, Naboutolu, Draunivau and Vaitoka.
A total of 30 participants attended the training from the 11th to the 13th of June 2024.
The Project Preventing Violence Against Women and Girls in Faith settings and is funded by Bread for the World.
The over-arching goal is to contribute towards building a critical mass of faith-based women, men, young people, clergy with a new understanding of God’s vision for human relationships that values equal, respectful, just, caring, loving, peaceful relationships.

The workshop trainers are Mrs. Akanisi Tarabe, Reverend Amy Chambers and Rev. Tomasi Tarabe. Workshop was delivered in the iTaukei language called Vakavoui na i tovo: Muduki na i valavala kaukauwa vei ira na yalewa.
