PREVENTING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN IN FIJI THROUGH FAITH (PVAWFF) PROJECT
PROJECT OFFICERS x 2
HOUSE OF SARAH
The House of Sarah (HOS) established in 2009 is committed to addressing violence against women within faith communities in Fiji. HOS aims to provide a listening ear, warm heart and a welcoming hand to women who are facing violence; and in improving the status of women through the provision of counselling, support services, education, networking, partnerships, referrals, and prevention of VAW.
PREVENTING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN IN FIJI THROUGH FAITH (PVAWFF) PROJECT
The House of Sarah in implementing the project adapted the SASA! Faith prevention model developed by Raising Voices, Uganda and Trocaire, Ireland. The project focuses on maintaining power balance between women and men and girls and boys. It further examined ways power can be used positively to end VAW. To support the continued implementation of this project, HOS would like to engage two Project Officers.
