The workshop was conducted by Reverend Tomasi Tarabe on Theology and Mrs Akanisi Tarabe based on Gender alongside a House of Sarah Staff, Sainiana.
A total of 25 engaged participants were enlightened by this workshop. The third day ended with the group supporting Thursdays in Black by wearing black to support the cause.
More workshops like this are bring requested by the participants to be conducted in the village in order to change and train the mindsets of others on the issue of Gender based violence.
Implementation of these strategies in faith settings is crucial if we are to see lasting social norms change of VAWG in Fiji, in the Pacific and around the world.
